Deeply needed in our times across our planet are those with training in both “inner” and “outer" perspectives and capacities to respond skillfully to conflict. In this talk, we’ll explore the nature of conflict and why conflict is difficult for most of us; the importance of qualities like mindfulness, compassion, empathy, and equanimity; and the possibility of being guided by “both-and” approaches to transforming conflict.

ד"ר דונלד רות'ברג הוא מורה בכיר לדהרמה ומדיטציית ויפסנא וסופר.  הוראתו וכתיבתו מתמקדות בחיבור בין התרגול הבודהיסטי, הפסיכולוגיה המערבית ותרגול רוחני המעורב חברתית. לשמחתנו, דונלד קיבל את הזמנתנו לבוא וללמד בישראל ביוני 2017. דונלד מתרגל ויפסנא החל משנת 1976 ובמהלך השנים קיבל הכשרה גם במסורת הדזוגצ'ן ומהאמודרה, בגישת האקומי לפסיכותרפיה ובגישות טיפול סומאטיות לעבודה עם טראומה. דונלד הוא אחד המורים הבכירים והמובילים במרכז Spirit Rock בקליפורניה שהקים ג'ק קורנפילד וחבר במועצת המורים של המרכז. הוא גם חבר בועד המנהל של הקרן הבודהיסטית לשלום (Buddhist Peace Fellowship) ושימש גם כמנהל התוכנית...
Dr. Donald Rothberg is a leading teacher and writer on meditation, the intersection of psychology and spirituality, and socially engaged spiritual practice. He has taught and practiced Buddhist meditation for over 35 years, and his teaching and trainings have helped to pioneer new ways of connecting inner and outer transformation. He is a member of the Teacher's Council at Spirit Rock Center and board member for the Buddhist Peace Fellowship.
