"Thus have I heard"...

A weekend of study and meditation on the Buddha's discourses

The Buddhas discourses (Suttas in Pali) are ancient texts which carry his profound message to humanity; His discovery of the origin of suffering and the countless paths to liberation from it. A direct and unmediated study of these texts allows us a glimpse into a deep and rich spiritual world and can be a source of inspiration for our practice while providing effective techniques for cultivating wisdom, tranquility, happiness and equanimity in our lives.

The study and meditation practice will be intertwined: one will establish the other and together will allow the development of a clear perception of reality.

The weekend will be held in silence and will include times for Sutta reading and group discussions, guided and silent meditations and dharma talks relating to the studied topics.

This weekend is open to those who have completed at least one silent retreat with Tovana (weekends included).
