26/10/2011 to 30/10/2011
Event category:
Start time: Wednesday 01:00
End time: Sunday 00:59

A 4 day seminar dedicated enritely to the investigation of the unique meeting between Buddhist and western understanding of the mind the way it works. Along with the clarification of key terms, this courese will touch upon the similarities and differences in both traditions.

The format will comprise formal sitting and walking practice (to frame the day) and study blocks (lectures, dialogue, flipchart, small groups). Outside of generally twice a daily study-blocks the course will be in silence.

participants need to have prior experience of meditation and have been on at least one silent meditation retreat; my interest is to talk with meditation practitioners on the meeting & diverging of Buddhist and Western psychology – rather than speak about Buddhist ideas to interested but inexperienced Western Psychologists.

Registration will begin one month prior to the beginning of the retreat.
