Deep rest weekend meditation retreat
Meditation through deep rest to discover the freshness and power of life beyond ideas.

This silent retreat will include meditation, instructions, and teachings, as well as space where questions from the group can enrich the dialog. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome to explore meditation while lying down or sitting, as well as while walking.
Optional connected movement and meditative singing support the depth.
Jaya Julienne Ashmore of Open Dharma encourages depth and transformation through practicing the paradoxes of ease and energy,
rest and challenge, play and seriousness.
We support each person's unique unfolding and growing independence, and invite you to uncover the richness already within you.

Throughout the day, we practice ease and simplicity, right among the surprises and ordinariness of this life.
Throughout the day, we can stay in touch with the power and openness of each experience—no matter what it is.
What is this life?
What is important? What is aliveness?
Can we leave room for ourselves to know what is important in life without thoughts, without past, and without turning away? What helps us stay open, honest, and spacious enough to encounter life as it is?

Jaya Ashmore has dedicated her life to spiritual awakening—both in her own meditation since 1986 and in helping spark Jaya Ashmore breakthrough and depth for others since 1999. The main influences on her teaching are: her youth in a Christian family, Tibetan and Theravada Buddhist practice, her six years with Advaita master Sri Poonjaji, her fifteen years of practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu, and her long-time friendship with her colleague Ajay Singh.  She has lived most of her adult life in India, and now also spends half the year at Dharmaloca in northeastern Spain.
